Ex-Everton Scout predicts one in, one out as Hannibal Mejbri transfer news emerges

Goodison News is delighted to welcome aboard our brilliant new columnist Bryan King, the former goalkeeper who spent over eight years as a scout at Everton and 28 years in total in first-team scouting roles. Bryan also spent six years on Tottenham’s recruitment team and 11 years scouting at Aston Villa across two different spells…

Bryan King believes Everton will move on Arnaut Danjuma if they sign Hannibal Mejbri on loan from Manchester United.

As per Fabrizio Romano (11 January), the Toffees want to sign the young Red Devils attacker until the end of the season.

The journalist added that Sevilla are also keen on the 20-year-old this month, with a buy option and buy back clause confirmed as part of any potential deal.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “I think this month is going to consist of quite a lot of loan deals by the sound of it.

“You then start to look at Danjuma, who they took on loan from Villarreal. It is not going to work with the two of them there, so Sean Dyche will probably let Danjuma go and maybe bring Hannibal in until the end of the season.

“Everton are going to need players who are going to put everything in for the survival of the club. To be fair, does he really care about the football club?

“That’s one of the things I’d be asking. Because if we go down, he’s not going to go down, he’ll be going back to his club that are in the Premier League.

“These younger players have got to show some commitment, and I would imagine that would be one of the things that Dyche would certainly be putting to Hannibal.”

In other Everton news, a European club has won over a Toffees player who now wants to quit Goodison Park.
