Everton want to sign Divin Mubama as West Ham United transfer news emerges
Everton are keeping tabs on West Ham prospect Divin Mubama, facing competition from Sunderland and West Brom, according to Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via its newsletter [15 January] that the Toffees want the exciting youngster but the Hammers are not interested in loaning the player out this January.
Mubama is available on a free transfer at the end of the season, having not signed a new contract at London Stadium despite one being offered to him.

“West Ham don’t want striker Divin Mubama going out on loan as it stands,” Simon Jones wrote.
“The England U20 international, who has been monitored by Sunderland, West Brom and Everton, is another available on a free in the summer who the club have offered a new contract.”
Premier League status
Considering Everton’s continuous issues with FFP, Mubama represents a perfect alternative for a striker target, who could be available for cheap now or for free in the summer.
However, it may take a lot of persuading for the Hammers to allow Mubama to leave before his contract runs out, with the club suffering from a plague of injuries to Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio in attack, and Muhammed Kudus away on international duty.
Despite this, Everton needs someone who can score goals. Separated by just one point, the Toffees are at risk from the threat of relegation and are in desperate need of a goal threat.

Their highest scorer this season is midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure with six, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin has failed to supply the goods regularly yet again. Beto has also been a disappointing signing, scoring just three times in 21 appearances since arriving in the summer.
Mubama’s age and lack of experience could be a worry though, especially with the amount of pressure Everton are currently under. But at this point, it may be a chance that the club are willing to take.
In other Everton news, the club have made an apparent U-turn on a player’s immediate future during the window.
