777 Partners share when Everton takeover will be completed after Richard Masters update
777 Partners believe their takeover of Everton will still be completed before the end of January despite Richard Masters’ update this week, according to The Telegraph.
Writing on their website (17 January), the news outlet report that the Miami-based investment company are still confident a deal will be given the green-light despite the Premier League admitting they were “weeks away” from a decision.
But sources have told the newspaper that they expect the deal to be done, with the Premier League recognising that 777 can’t keep providing funding to the club without a decision being made with £150m already invested.

“The deal was placed under renewed scrutiny this week after Premier League chief executive Richard Masters suggested questions still needed to be answered while speaking at a Department for Culture, Media and Sport hearing,” they wrote.
“But sources close to 777 Partners have told Telegraph Sport that they are confident they have provided the Premier League with all the necessary answers, along with proof of the source of their funds and their ability to fund the business plan over three years.
“There is recognition on all sides that if the takeover were to fall through and Everton were placed into administration, then 777 would face a huge battle to recoup the £150 million they have already provided in funding.”
ASAP
A decision is absolutely needed as soon as possible, and in an ideal world it comes before the end of the transfer window.
There are huge question marks about whether or not 777 Partners are acceptable owners to complete this takeover and take control away from Farhad Moshiri, but a decision needs to be made by the Premier League one way or another at this point.

If they’re allowed to come in then checks need to be done regularly to ensure that they aren’t running the club into the ground, while if they’re not it needs be certain that the club isn’t going to fall into administration.
The club need help because the hole that we now find ourselves in isn’t acceptable and the Premier League are part of the reason why it’s been allowed to happen.
It seems like they’re ready to push us towards relegation and therefore administration and extinction with these charges, but the club must continue to fight on the pitch to ruin that plan and stay alive.
