Everton transfer news as eleventh-hour Jarrad Branthwaite January update emerges from Goodison Park
Everton are under no pressure to sell Jarrad Branthwaite and teams are unlikely to match the Toffees’ asking price in the final days of the transfer window, according to Liverpool World.
The outlet reported on its website on Monday (29 January) that Sean Dyche’s side could demand up to £75million for the centre-back this month, but with only a matter of days until the transfer deadline, no one is expected to make such a bid.
Branthwaite signed a new deal at Goodison Park earlier this season and while he has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Merseyside, it now appears unlikely that he will complete an eleventh-hour exit before Thursday 1 February.
Great news
Interest was always going to be high in Branthwaite this month, given his excellent performances alongside James Tarkowski in Everton’s backline this season, but the Toffees have put themselves in an excellent position to keep him at Goodison.
His new contract offers some security and insures that it will take a big deal to secure his services either this month or in the summer and with only a matter of days left in the window, he’s unlikely to be going anywhere.

Teams all over the world, especially in the Premier League have been reluctant to spend this month due to the recent profit and sustainability punishments so it would be a huge shock to see somebody bid £75million in the last knocking of the window.
Everton supporters will be hoping that the same remains true in the summer but first, the Blues’ focus has to be on remaining in the Premier League and avoiding being dragged back into the fight to avoid relegation before the end of the season.
