Everton fan protest set at Goodison Park v Tottenham after new appeal
Everton fans have planned another protest against the Premier League at Goodison Park ahead of their clash with Tottenham on 3 February, according to Shamoon Hafez.
The BBC Sports journalist shared via their live matchday blog [11:45] that fresh cards have been handed out which read “You don’t know what you’re doing”, which the fans plan to display before the Premier League anthem and in the tenth minute.
This protest has come while Everton awaits news on the appeal of their ten-point deduction given by the Premier League due to financial breaches, with a decision expected in mid-February.
Everton fans making their voices heard
The fans at Goodison Park will not lie down when it comes to this issue, feeling harshly treated by the league because of the harshness of their punishment which both the supporters and the club believe was too strong considering the extent of the breach, and their claims have not gone unnoticed.
Everton were found guilty of just one breach of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules and were handed a heavy sporting sanction, something Sean Dyche has claimed was unfair due to the breach being a non-sporting issue.
Holding up the banners before the game, as they have done since the decision was made by those at the top of the game, brings attention to their struggles and the harsh treatment they feel has been given to the club compared to others in the division.

These protests will likely continue, and with a decision on the appeal process expected to arrive in the coming weeks, they could even get stronger if they do not receive the outcome they are all hoping for.
Fans have previously claimed broadcasters have turned a blind eye to their protests, as was explained by Kieran Maguire so this being live on TV will be another chance to make their voices heard.
