Sean Dyche will fear the worst as triple statistic emerges ahead of Everton v Manchester City
Everton manager Sean Dyche will be doing his utmost to inspire his players ahead of their trip to Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola and his players welcome the Toffees to the Etihad on Saturday (10 February) in the Premier League early kick-off.
The Merseyside club also got the action underway last weekend, holding Tottenham to a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park on Saturday (3 February).
It could prove to be a vital point for the struggling Toffees, with the hosts not giving up until the very last whistle, with Jarrad Branthwaite heading home a last-minute equaliser.
Dyche will be keen for a similar display at the Etihad, but he will be fully aware of how much more difficult this tie will be.
Everton set for tricky test
As per the official Premier League website (9 February), Manchester City have lost only one of their last 35 Premier League home matches.
Moreover, they are unbeaten in 13 matches against Everton, while Dyche has lost 16 of his 19 career meetings with Manchester City, winning only once.
That triple statistic will not fill the travelling team with confidence, which is what they need at this moment in time in order to push away from the relegation zone.
The Goodison Park club currently occupy 18th place in the league table, with Luton Town a place and a point ahead of them. Worryingly, the Hatters also have a game in hand.

Now is undoubtedly the time for the Toffees to clinch as many points as possible, particularly with another Premier League charge hanging over their heads.
In other Everton news, a BBC pundit has mooted an exit for a Tottenham summer signing after what happened in the 2-2 draw with the Toffees.
