Man City early team news v Everton: Kevin De Bruyne not in starting XI as leak emerges
Neil Robertson has been left fuming after an early leaked Manchester City team news emerged ahead of the clash with Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday (10 February).
The World Snooker star shared his reaction on his X account after news leaked from reliable Fantasy Football accounts The FPL Newsletter X account and FPL Toni that City star Kevin De Bruyne will start from the bench.
The team news for the game normally gets announced an hour before kick-off but it has now been leaked that the Belgian will start on the bench again with Erling Haaland and Phil Foden possibly starting from the off against Sean Dyche’s men.
And Robertson was left furious with Pep Guardiola’s possible team selection which derails his Fantasy Football Team. He posted: “Kevin De Bruyne on the bench! Erling Haaland sandwiched between 3 centre-backs with no inch-perfect crosses from De Bruyne. We still captain Haaland!?”
Huge boost for Sean Dyche and Everton or a pipe dream?
The Toffees may well be without a win in six games but the fight they showed to claw themselves back against an impressive Spurs team was very encouraging.
And that spirit and doggedness must be harnessed in full effect against Guardiola’s men who have proven unbeatable in recent seasons when the February fixtures hit.
News that Guardiola could well have left De Bruyne on the bench this time around could well be a boost for Dyche and his men but the Citizens have proven destructive without him before.
Whether the Belgian starts or not really shouldn’t matter as the Toffees will be planning for every eventualities and if this news gets leaked to the Toffees dressing room, Dyche will not allow any complacency or false encouragement from his side as the threats of Foden who grabbed a tremendous hattrick in midweek and Haaland still exist.
A difficult but huge clash for Everton, even without De Bruyne from the off.
In other Everton news, an update has emerged on the Toffees’ reported attempts to a sign hotshot striker after a last-gasp January transfer window push.
