Manchester City transfer mooted for Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite today
Lucy Ward has suggested Manchester City will be among several clubs tracking the progress of Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite after his performance in the 2-0 defeat at The Etihad.
Ward was stunned by his performance in the game, highlighting how he has continued to grow and improve under Sean Dyche, and suggested City will be one of many clubs interested in signing him this summer.
Branthwaite has seemingly constantly been linked to moves away from Goodison Park after his breakthrough season this year, with the end of the transfer window putting no end to the rumours swirling.
Ward was speaking live on TNT Sports [10 February, 13:50] as she suggested: “There will be a lot of clubs looking at him, City as well looking at Branthwaite, and Everton will be hoping to keep him,” having previously shared: “He’s a terrific young player. So much potential, I think he’s just growing in this Everton setup.”
Manchester City transfer for Branthwaite from Everton?
As previously mentioned, the rumours surrounding Branthwaite’s future at Goodison Park have been rumbling on since well before the January transfer window, and will likely continue to do so until a decision is made regarding his future in the summer.
A reported £100million price tag was slapped on him in January amid reported interest from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, as Everton face a tough battle to keep him at the club beyond this season.

His displays in Dyche’s side this season have been a real bright point in an otherwise stressful season for Everton, but fans will be well aware that his future lies elsewhere and he is more than good enough to make the step up – likely with their well-wishes.
If Everton can benefit from his sale, with a high price tag likely given the mega-rich clubs interested in his signature, then they must attempt to raise the highest possible fee to persuade them to depart with their star player.
