Simon Jordan shares Everton relegation verdict live on talkSPORT, ‘difficult to see’ claim made
Everton are one of seven teams currently involved in a Premier League relegation battle, according to Simon Jordan.
The pundit shared the verdict live on talkSPORT, explaining that all clubs from Brentford in 14th to Sheffield United in 20th are in danger.
Crystal Palace occupy 15th spot after losing 3-1 to Chelsea on Monday (12 February), with Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Everton and Burnley between them and Sheffield United.
“It’s difficult to see at this moment in time what’s going to get you relegated in terms of what is the minimum points required to get fourth bottom in the league,” Jordan said live on talkSPORT.
“There are six or maybe seven teams in this relegation plight. It’s Brentford, Palace, Forest, Luton, Everton, Burnley and Sheffield United.
“Now we don’t know what’s going to happen to Forest in terms of points, if anything. We don’t know what’s going to happen to Everton in terms of points reduction, and a reapplication for a new set of points, we don’t know.”
Everton in danger of Premier League relegation
Both Everton and Nottingham Forest are currently awaiting the outcome of their Premier League charge for financial breaches, which could, of course, have a massive impact on the final table.
The Toffees have already been charged and punished this season, dropping way down the standings following their 10-point deduction.
They did, however, rise up the table shortly after, but a poor run of form has led them to fall all the way back down again.
The last thing Sean Dyche and his players need is another sanction, with another points deduction certain to demote them to the Championship.
Fortunately for the Toffees, the clubs in and around them are not getting on much better, with the Hatters, the Clarets and the Blades all struggling lately.

There is, of course, a long way to go, but the Toffees really need to start picking up wins if they are to edge away from the bottom three.
In other Everton news, Dyche can be proud despite the loss to Manchester City as a double statistic emerges from the 2-0 defeat.
