Simon Jordan predicts Everton v Crystal Palace clash as ‘really worry’ claim made
Pundit Simon Jordan “doesn’t fancy” Crystal Palace for their upcoming trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
The two clubs will go head to head in Premier League action under the lights on Merseyside on Monday (19 February).
Roy Hodgson’s outfit, who are currently in 15th place in the league table, then host Burnley at Selhurst Park five days later.
“I don’t fancy them at Everton,” Jordan said live on talkSPORT. “But you never know what you’re going to get with Everton at times, and the litmus test for me will be Burnley. If they get beaten by Burnley at home, then you start to really worry.”
Everton v Crystal Palace huge
It really is a huge match for both clubs at Goodison Park, with the hosts aiming to close the gap on their upcoming opponents. The Toffees occupy 18th spot in the Premier League table with 19 points, five points behind the Eagles.
It is the London outfit who are in better form at this moment in time, but the Goodison Park crowd should give the home side a huge boost.
Confidence is pretty low among both sides, but three points from this encounter could set either on their way to certain safety.
Given they are in the relegation zone, it is Everton who are in greater danger of the drop, even more so when their latest Premier League financial charge is factored in.
But Sean Syche and his players can take confidence from their efforts in their last league outing against Manchester City, despite losing that match 2-0.

They kept the Premier League giants quiet for the most part at the Etihad, while they also worked extremely hard to draw with Tottenham the week before.
In other Everton news, Dyche can be proud despite the loss to Manchester City as a double statistic emerges from the 2-0 defeat.
