Everton v Crystal Palace: Doctor drops Arnaut Danjuma injury update

Everton attacker Arnaut Danjuma may be ruled out of the game against Crystal Palace on 19 February, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claimed that it initially looked like a mild or moderate ankle inversion but it could be potentially more severe.

This is because he was expected to be back in time for the Palace clash but will now be out until March.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Danjuma:

Based on his previously expected return date of 19 February, it’s most likely a mild or moderate inversion ankle sprain or a bad knock.

However, now he’s probably out until March and perhaps may not even return to training this month so it could be more severe.

“The club seemed to be waiting for something in his ankle to settle down and the expectation was that it would’ve happened earlier.”

Danjuma appears unwanted by Sean Dyche at Everton

Danjuma has not had the easiest of rides at Goodison Park and will perhaps not even be in the best headspace after the January window.

He was keen on leaving the club amid links to Villarreal and Lyon and was even spotted on a jet as transfer talk went into overdrive.

However, he stayed put on Merseyside and now joins Andre Gomes and Dele Alli on the sidelines – all three who are ruled out of the game, per Premier Injuries.
