Everton takeover: Sean Dyche shares 777 Partners update ahead of Crystal Palace clash
Sean Dyche says Everton are expecting to hear more with regards to the 777 Partners takeover “over the next couple of weeks”.
The Telegraph reported on Thursday (14 February) that the American investment fund is expecting contact from the Premier League this week with regards to a decision.
Talk regarding the takeover and the PSR breaches continues to dominate press conferences at Finch Farm, but Dyche shot down a claim that the 777 situation is “dragging on”.
“It hasn’t dragged on for me, it’s just a case of how it’s been mapped out,” he said at Saturday’s (17 February) press conference, as per the club’s YouTube channel.
“We’ve been given a very general timeline, probably over the next couple of weeks, so we’ll wait and see.”
777 Partners takeover latest at Everton
As reported by the Liverpool Echo [15 February], 777 remains confident of being given full approval of taking over Everton ahead of an imminent decision.
777 themselves expected a decision to have been made one way or another before the end of 2023, but we are now approaching March and are still in limbo.
The recent indications via the media is that the Football Association has given its backing, and now it is just a case of the Premier League green lighting the decision.

Other hurdles have already been overcome, but this one is taking a very long time. As every Everton supporter has pointed out, why is it taking so long to officially announce a decision?
In the meantime, Everton continue to battle on the field to get vital points on the board. And come the end of the month, the players should hopefully know exactly what is required to stay up as the points deduction appeal verdict also edges nearer.
It makes for what should be a pretty hectic fortnight for everyone involved with Everton Football Club.
In other Everton news, Dyche has shared an update on the availability of Abdoulaye Doucoure to face Crystal Palace.
