Everton: Sean Dyche provides update on points deduction appeal timeline
By Riley Taylor
Everton manager Sean Dyche said a verdict on the club’s appeal against a 10-point deduction handed out by the Premier League will probably be announced in the “next couple of weeks”.
The Toffees were punished after being found guilty of flouting Profit and Sustainability rules but challenged the decision back on 1 December.
Everton have since been hit with a second charge but are still waiting to hear the outcome of their appeal.
Speaking at a news conference on Saturday in quotes reported by BBC Sport (17 February), Dyche said: “It’s not dragged on.
“We were given a very general timeline that it will probably happen in the next couple of weeks. We will wait and see.”
Everton fans continue to wait for appeal verdict after Sean Dyche update
With results on the pitch becoming an issue, Everton fans will have been wanting to hear news sooner rather than later regarding their club’s appeal and it looks like they will have to continue to wait, given their own manager’s vague update.
Without a win in the Premier League since December, Dyche would’ve been looking to inspire some confidence for Everton fans to look towards.

However, his press conference will have left them continuing to fret whether they will be playing top-flight football next season, given that their own manager is seemingly still in the dark as to when news of their appeal will come through.
With a lack of an update, Dyche and Everton now must turn their attention to a huge game on Monday night versus an equally out-of-form Crystal Palace side. Three points may provide some temporary respite to their worrying situation.
In other Everton news, Dyche has shared an update on Abdoulaye Doucoure and Amadou Onana ahead of facing Crystal Palace.
