Everton officials determined on new Dele Alli stance in Tottenham transfer news
Everton officials are determined to avoid having to pay £10million to Tottenham for the Dele Alli deal as a result of their recent financial issues, according to the Express.
The newspaper reported via their website on 17 February that those in power at Goodison Park are not keen on paying the additional payment agreed when Alli joined the Toffees.
This has come just weeks after it was claimed that the midfielder may never play again as a result of his recent injury issues, with it seemingly impossible for him to stay fit.
It was widely reported that as part of the agreement for Alli to join Everton, the club agreed to an extra £10million transfer fee after he plays 20 games, but Daniel Levy is now set to miss out on this “hefty” payout.
Dele Alli may never play for Everton again
Just as there had been some hope that Alli would finally make his return to Goodison Park after everything that he has gone through in his personal life, as explained on The Overlap with Gary Neville [13 July], the latest injury blow will have come as yet another kick in the teeth for the midfielder.
Tottenham were being kept aware of his injury status, according to Sean Dyche, as they await the additional transfer payment which Alli remains seven games away from hitting the threshold for.

That suggests that any sort of refusal to play him would be contested by the North London club, as they will be tracking his progress closely with the hope of a £10million bonus still alive.
However, with the midfielder’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, it now seems unlikely that he will make the required seven appearances under Sean Dyche.
