Everton takeover news as 777 Partners and Premier League timeline update emerges
777 Partners remain unsure when their takeover of Everton will be completed, according to The Independent.
The publication reported via its online edition on Tuesday (20 February) that the deal will not be concluded before the end of February.
It is claimed that 777 are in the process of addressing additional questions from the Premier League, with no timeline in place beyond that.
777 Partners takeover at Goodison Park further delayed
777 Partners had hoped to have an agreement in place before the end of 2023, never mind before the end of February 2024.
The fact it is now dragging on into March and possibly further is a complete and utter farce.
Quite why it is taking so long for the Premier League to reach a decision one way or another is anyone’s guess.
It has now been over five months since the investment fund reached an agreement to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s full 94.1 per cent stake.

The longer the uncertainty goes on, the bigger trouble Everton will find themselves in should it fall through.
Given the amount 777 has already put into the club, that will have to be paid back on top of the other debts.
All the while, supporters are left in limbo with regards to the future of the club. If it were needed, this is yet further proof of the Premier League’s incompetence.
