Everton takeover: 777 Partners should be deemed unsuitable as ‘disgrace’ emerges in Europe
777 Partners should immediately be deemed unsuitable to take over at Everton, according to The Esk.
The verdict comes amid the news from RTBF on Tuesday (20 February) that salaries have now been paid late for three months in a row at Standard Liege.
The Belgian club are owned by 777, with the investment firm’s takeover at Goodison Park yet to be approved by the Premier League.
Writing on X on Wednesday (21 February), The Esk said of 777: “Their treatment of employees is a disgrace and should immediately deem them unsuitable, especially in a city such as Liverpool with its proud history of fighting for worker’s rights.”
Everton to go ahead with 777 deal?
Everton have simply had too many troubles for their liking in recent years, with several problems taking place both on and off the pitch at Goodison Park.
And their association with 777 is another issue to add to the pile, with their proposed takeover of the Toffees taking an age to get over the line.
Whether it actually gets over the line after all this time remains to be seen, which will be of huge frustration to the Goodison faithful.
They have endured a bumpy ride in terms of the takeover issues and of course the points deduction handed to the club earlier this season.

It did seem that things could not have gotten much worse at Everton from when Farhad Moshiri was the man making the big decisions, but 777 do not seem to be arriving with a great reputation.
The Toffees ought to listen to their fans on this very important matter, but it seems supporters have been left in the dark about the future of their club.
