Jim White mocks Simon Jordan over Everton and Aston Villa relegation amid Goodison uproar
Jim White mocked Simon Jordan as the duo were discussing Everton and Aston Villa and the fact that the latter got relegated and bounced back up.
White was called out for looking biased when a fan said that he was justifying the Toffees’ cheating.
He then got into a discussion with his co host and explained why it was important that the decision about the appeal be made quickly as that’s what fans will be talking about on the way to the South Coast to face Brighton on Saturday, 24 February.
Reading out a message sent from a fan, White said on talkSPORT (11:10am, 22nd February): “Everton admitted cheating and they got punished. What’s wrong with it? Stop trying to justify cheating. You’re making yourself look very biased this morning, Jim but there’s no shock there.”
To which he responded: “No, not at all, I think. And you’ve conceded this fact? The supporters who paid good money to travel a long distance and back at the weekend should know because that’s the conversation on the bus going to be – ‘When we’re down at the South Coast? What do you think we’re gonna get?’
Jordan stated: “We still haven’t heard from these individuals and that’s fine but that’s a conversation.
“And if Everton get relegated, then their supporters will still be there, won’t they? It’s not the end of the world, is it? Bigger football clubs have been relegated. Aston Villa got relegated and it came back up again.
Whie responded sneakily: “Good to know.”
Jordan continued: “Well, it’s good to know it. It would be in an ideal world. You’d know when you decide that people should know. But in the real world, it doesn’t work that way.
White then made a comment about his tone and mood by saying: “While while you’re in this in this boisterous mood…”
Jim White spot on about Everton
In the exchange, Jordan appears to overlook the urgency expressed by White regarding Everton’s appeal process.
White’s emphasis on the need for a quick decision stems from his concern for supporters, who are awaiting clarity on the club’s situation.
Jordan’s focus on the resilience of fans and the historical precedent of clubs bouncing back from relegation seems to downplay the significance of the appeal’s outcome.
There certainly are suggestions of a perception of unfair treatment by the Premier League, which warrants a prompt resolution.

By dismissing White’s call for swift action, Jordan overlooks the immediate impact on the club as a whole and its supporters, highlighting a disconnect between acknowledging historical patterns and addressing current concerns.
