Everton: New timeline emerges on 777 Partners takeover after Premier League update

Dan Plumley has insisted that there is still a long way to go before 777 Partners get their proposed Everton takeover green-lighted by the Premier League.

It comes after news that Josh Wander will meet with the Premier League this week to discuss the takeover, with 777 unhappy with how long the process has taken.

The football finance expert admitted that it is no surprise it could drag out even further, with many sticking points remaining in the information.

“Unfortunately, I think it does,” he exclusively told Goodison News when asked if the meeting shows how much needs ironing out.

“Again, it is no surprise from what we’ve seen, from the outside looking in, it’s always been a complex deal with so many twists and turns.

There have been so many partners and connected parties that 777 deal with, the volume of information that has been needed to get this takeover sorted and the availability of that information has not perhaps been there, which is what the Premier League have been saying.

It is no surprise to see this rumbling, I still think it has got a bit of a way to go, I know that brings uncertainty, but it just doesn’t feel like it’s any closer to getting over the line and there are still some sticking points in some of that information.”

Dan Friedkin has succeeded where Josh Wander and 777 failed at Everton.

Will 777 Partners complete their Everton takeover?

With constant negative news coming out on the American investment firm, including billions of dollars being owed to US creditors before their bid for the club, it is hard to imagine it.

Hopefully, talks with the Premier League can shed light and open doors between the pair, but for now, everyone else is left in the dark with weeks of this to go, it seems.
