Everton former employee shares Premier League relegation verdict, ‘not good enough’ claim made
Everton should be safe from Premier League relegation given that Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town look like going down.
That is according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King, who believes the recently promoted trio are not good enough for the top flight.
As things stand, the Toffees are in 16th place, with Nottingham Forest in 17th, while Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United occupy the bottom three.
Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “It’s funny that the three clubs that look as though they could be relegated, are the three clubs everybody would have said at the start of the season are going to find it very hard in the Premier League anyway.
“Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton really are not good enough for the Premier League. So we have the situation with them again whereby they go down, they do well in the Championship, probably come up the following year.
“They’ll get the parachute payment, then they get another big payment. It’s not a level playing field. I’d feel more aggrieved if I was in the Championship, watching what is going on here.”
Can Everton edge away from the Premier League relegation zone?
It really has been a roller-coaster campaign for the Toffees and their faithful supporters, who have been through more downs than ups lately.
The Goodison Park club shot down the league table following their 10-point deduction, only to rise the standings thanks to a superb run of form.

But those good times have disappeared, with the Merseyside outfit still heavily involved in a relegation fight despite being given four points back, although there is potentially another points deduction going their way.
