Jim White instantly reacts to new Everton PSR update today

Jim White has reacted to news that Everton could be facing yet another PSR charge for the 2023/24 season on Wednesday morning.

The Toffees have already been charged twice for breaching PSR rules by the Premier League, receiving a ten-point deduction which was reduced to six for the first charge while a hearing is yet to take place for the second charge.

But according to Twitter account @SLBSN the Toffees are one of the teams at risk for failing for the current season, which led to talkSPORT host White to respond.

“Interesting times ahead…” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (6 March).

Everton: Here we go again

Is there ever going to be a year where Everton aren’t expecting to fail PSR considering the situation they’re in?

The club’s financial situation is a huge issue and while the Premier League continue to sit on their hands about making a decision on whether or not 777 Partners will be able to take over, plans can’t be made.

It leaves the club in a horrible situation when it comes to the summer window that is approaching, because they have no idea if they’re going to need to sell key first-team players or if the club is going to grow financially.

The first charge that got received was a killer blow for the club as it put the club right in the mix of a relegation battle that they never deserved to be in, but form since then has really dipped.

A second charge and another points deduction could really harm the club and if the Toffees end up getting relegated, then there will be huge concerns about the future of the club.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are preparing to lose one first-team star in the summer window.
