Everton insider reveals Jarrad Branthwaite transfer speculation after £80m decision at Goodison Park

Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite will not leave Goodison Park if the club stay in the Premier League this season.

That is the view of former Toffees scout Bryan King, with TEAMtalk reporting on Tuesday that the Merseyside club will demand at least £80million for the defender.

Branthwaite has made 30 appearances under Sean Dyche this season, and could be handed an England debut later this month.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “I don’t think he’ll leave, unless Everton are really in a bad way regarding money. If they stay in the Premier League, he won’t leave.

“He’s come through their system, everything they make on him will be a profit. I think the kind of fee they’re asking for now, they’re at the top of the asking price.

You won’t get any more for him than that. He might just play in the friendlies [for England], not the Euros.”

Will Jarrad Branthwaite quit Everton?

The Toffees really should go all out to keep hold of their young centre-back, who has been a regular in the current campaign.

He has formed a strong partnership alongside the more experienced James Tarkowski, although the Merseyside club have looked vulnerable at the back many times this season.

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for Branthwaite, both for club and country, with an England debut potentially arriving sooner rather than later.
