Fabrizio Romano: Everton to make multi-million Jarrad Branthwaite decision within weeks

Everton are set to make a decision on their asking price for Jarrad Branthwaite in May amid interest from Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The football transfer journalist reported via CaughtOffside on 12 March that Man United are yet to make the official call on whether to pursue Branthwaite, having been tracking his progress for years.

With May just over seven weeks away, a decision over Branthwaite’s future is not far off at Goodison Park amid interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been linked with a possible summer transfer move for the defender, and with Everton set to name their price, official talks may not be far away.

It has been reported elsewhere that Branthwaite’s value could range between £75million and £100million, making him the prized asset [BBC journalist Luke Edwards, 9 January] at Goodison Park who the club feel they can make a significant profit on with a sale this summer.

United’s interest seems the strongest, with Jim Ratcliffe reportedly keen on bringing the defender to Old Trafford regardless of their managerial situation amid rumours surrounding the future of Erik ten Hag.
