Alan Myers shares what he’s been told about 777 Partners Everton takeover

Alan Myers has shared that Everton could find out the answer about whether 777 Partners will be able to takeover the club in days.

Writing on his personal Twitter account (13 March), the Sky Sports journalist reports that he has been told a decision is “days away” from the Premier League.

He was also asked by a fan if he expects 777 Partners to be approved as owners, and admitted he expects the deal to go through.

“My guess would be they do [get approval],” he said. “I’ve no idea how it will go to be honest.

“All I know is the uncertainty needs to end and a new direction is vital whoever that is with.”

Everton need clarity on ownership situation

Everton and 777 Partners confirmed an agreement for the Miami-based investment firm to take over Farhad Moshiri’s stake in the company way back in September.

But the Premier League have so far failed to authorise a deal, and the Toffees have had to take loans from them for the running costs of the club which has caused even bigger financial woes.

A deal was supposed to be confirmed before the end of the year and then was expected again in February, yet everyone is still waiting with questions constantly being asked.

777 Partners can’t fund the club forever if they’re not going to be allowed to complete the transaction, and Josh Wander has already responded publicly to the delays too.

But with an international break now upon Everton, with no game until the final weekend of the month, this would be the perfect time to get clarity and start moving forward one way or another.
