Everton: Sean Dyche must plan permanent Neal Maupay exit as Brentford controversy emerges
Everton are facing a very interesting summer transfer window due to the sheer amount of uncertainty at Goodison Park currently.
The Toffees don’t know if they will have new owners in 777 Partners by the end of the season, whether Farhad Moshiri may remain in charge or if they will even be in the Premier League given their recent profit and sustainability charges.
All these factors have made it almost impossible for Sean Dyche to add to his squad in recent transfer windows, but the Blues boss has cut his cloth accordingly to try and trim the Toffees’ wage bill with some high-profile exits.
One man who left in the final knockings of the summer transfer window was Neal Maupay, who completed a return to Brentford on an initial loan deal that the Bees can make permanent at the end of the season.
Thomas Frank has admitted that Brentford are in no rush to make a final decision on the Frenchman’s future, but his recent actions may have made the Bees’ decision for them as he was involved in more controversy in the defeat to Burnley.
Will Neal Maupay complete permanent Everton transfer exit and join Brentford?
According to The Mirror (16 March) the 27-year-old was left furious following a tackle on Mads Roerslev and was spotted in a war of words with Josh Brownhill and Johann Berg Gudmundsson before coaches, including Frank, had to intervene.
Maupay was then introduced from the bench for the final 10 minutes of the clash, failing to have a real impact on proceedings as Brentford slipped to a 2-1 defeat and deeper into the relegation battle at the foot of the table.
Should the Everton loanee continue to stir up this much controversy during the remainder of his loan spell, it is hard to see how or why Brentford would be willing to make his transfer permanent, especially if they are relegated to the Championship.

The Toffees and Dyche have to find a way to quickly get him off of their books sooner rather than later as it wouldn’t be good for the Blues to have such a controversial figure in their side.
Hopefully, a solution can be found as soon as the summer transfer window opens, whether that be a permanent move to Brentford or elsewhere. Maupay simply cannot play in an Everton shirt again, especially given his previous comments.
