Everton: The Esk fumes as new 777 Partners verdict given at Goodison Park

The Esk has demanded Everton fans, shareholders and the fan advisory board stand up against the “intolerable” takeover situation at Goodison Park.

He called for shareholders in particular to recognise the severity and importance of the situation Everton find themselves in and to voice their opposition to find a solution.

Both Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners were slammed yet again for their handling of the club and the concerns arising throughout the process, which The Esk insists the takeover will not be a positive.

Writing via his blog [17 March], The Esk ranted: “This intolerable situation has to be publicised and requires the attention of independent, individual fans, fan groups and the fan advisory board.

“It, in my opinion, requires the shareholder association to recognise the seriousness and immediacy of our crisis and add their weight and voice to providing a solution.

“It requires the creditors of Everton football club to realise that their position deteriorates over time and that Moshiri’s proposed solution to them (777 Partners) is not the solution that works in their best interests.”

Will 777 Partners complete their takeover of Everton?

Most recent reports claim that the Premier League will make the final call regarding the ongoing takeover talks in the next week, finally putting an end to the seemingly endless discussions surrounding 777 and their eligibility.

However, should the takeover be approved, it will likely face strong opposition from the likes of The Esk, who has been vocal in his view against the takeover since it was first announced due to several concerns emerging throughout the process.

The likes of Simon Jordan and Martin Calladine have also spoken out against the takeover, insisting Everton supporters should be “very worried” and even going as far as to suggest the proposed deal could “destroy” the club.

Dan Friedkin has succeeded where Josh Wander and 777 failed at Everton.

A seemingly endless list of concerns, including protests from fans of other clubs in the group’s portfolio, and concerns surrounding the source of their financing, does not add up well as far as the club and the Premier League should be concerned.
