Everton: Company involved in Bramley-Moore Dock stadium development files administration notice

A company involved in the development of the new Everton stadium has filed an administration notice, according to Construction Enquirer.

The news outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (19 March) that Alucraft Systems Ltd has filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator.

It said the Staffordshire-based cladding specialist started its highest-profile project to date last May when it was handed the opportunity to deliver the curtain walling, aluminium rain screen and composite cladding at the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

Administration notice may not be good news for Everton stadium

It’s clearly a major blow for the cladding company to have filed for administration after incurring substantial losses in recent times.

An update shared by the firm on social media in February showed the successful installation of the initial batch of cladding panels on the south elevation of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

That suggests it is still working on the development, with the latest news posing doubts over whether it will be able complete the job.

The Blues expect the new stadium to be completed by the end of this year, with the club set to make the move ahead of the 2025-26 season.

They will be hoping there are no further delays to the construction after they have reportedly committed more than £800million into the development.
