Everton: Tony Bellew fumes at Farhad Moshiri in ownership rant live on talkSPORT

Tony Bellew has hit out at Farhad Moshiri and the way Everton has been handled in recent years in a new rant live on talkSPORT.

The former world champion boxer pointed out the constant managerial merry-go-round and endless behind-the-scenes changes which have caused instability at Goodison Park.

He also shared his view that Sean Dyche is the right man to manage Everton amid high praise for the job he has done since taking over at Goodison Park.

Bellew went on to insist that, with a change of ownership, focus and direction, the club could return to the top ten of the Premier League if managed correctly.

Speaking on live talkSPORT [19 March, 08:11], Bellew ranted: “I’m sick and tired of the revolving door of managers, he’s done a fantastic job. When they took the ten points originally from us, we were in a world of trouble and he got us out of it.

“He’s working with the hand he’s been dealt, I think he’s a very capable manager and his staff are very capable. I think he’s done a really good job. Like I said, the hand he’s been dealt is very very tough.

“We basically can’t bring anybody in, we’ve got no money to spend, we’ve had an owner who’s just jumped ship and nobody knows what’s going on. It’s just madness. The club needs some direction now, the staff are doing everything they possibly can to keep helping us.

“You’ve got to look at it since Moshiri came in, Everton have gone through three directors of football, seven or eight managers, it might even be more. We’ve got a squad made up of seven, eight or nine different managers and three directors of football.

“Who are these players playing for? You’ve got players who have been at the club for years and have lost a sense of direction. I think Sean is the right man, he’s doing a great job. I just think with new owners and a fresh look, Everton Football Club would be back amongst the top ten.”

Everton takeover situation remains unclear at Goodison Park

The desperation to see Moshiri leave Goodison Park is clear and explained brilliantly by Bellew given the endless uncertainty surrounding the club, but that uncertainty has only grown during the 777 Partners takeover process.

Most recent reports claim that the Premier League will make the final call regarding the ongoing takeover talks in the next week, finally putting an end to the seemingly endless discussions surrounding 777 and their eligibility.

However, should the takeover be approved, it will likely face strong opposition from the likes of Simon Jordan and Martin Calladine, who have also spoken out against the takeover, insisting supporters should be “very worried” and even going as far as to suggest the proposed deal could “destroy” the club.

Everton

Amid all of the chaos surrounding the takeover, Dyche has remained a calm and stable presence in the middle, and Bellew’s praise for the boss echoes that of plenty of Everton supporters. He remains the stability that the club needs now.
