Everton: Sean Dyche sack prediction as Premier League relegation verdict shared

Everton would want Sean Dyche to remain as manager if the club were relegated from the Premier League.

That is according to former Goodison Park scout Bryan King, who believes the Toffees will avoid the drop this season.

The Merseyside outfit are currently 16th place in the Premier League table, just four points outside the bottom three.

Speaking about why the club haven’t sacked Dyche despite a poor run of form, King told Goodison News: “I think the compensation is part of it. It’s all going to revolve around if they get relegated or not.

“I think they would want him to bring them back into the Premier League if they did, but I’m still pretty sure that, even with this run of poor results, they will stay up. But they’ve certainly got to start putting some results together and getting some points.

“I can’t see any reason why they would want to disrupt it. Although you’re always under that auspicious effect, as they say, with a new manager coming in, who can maybe get two or three results, and Everton certainly need two or three results.

“But if they’ve given him the chance to take the team away on a warm-weather camp, it’s a team bonding thing. I think he’ll stay this season.”

Will Everton be relegated from the Premier League?

It was once unthinkable that the Toffees would drop down into the Championship, but that has been a very real possibility in the last few seasons.

They have, however, managed to stay in the top flight, but are once again involved in a tense relegation battle, with Dyche sack talk taking place given their poor run of form.

Sean Dyche’s Everton side have faced plenty of challenges both on and off the pitch this season.

But the Goodison Park club have been handed a boost, with relegation rivals Nottingham Forest deducted four points for financial breaches.
