Everton former employee rages at other Premier League clubs amid second points deduction update

Everton former scout Bryan King has raged at the Premier League’s handling of financial fair play breaches this season.

The ex-Goodison Park employee believes there are at least six other Premier League clubs that will have broken the rules but are yet to be punished.

The outrage comes after news emerged that the Toffees are likely to receive a four-point deduction for their second breach.

Speaking to Goodison News, King said: “Just like I can’t get my head around VAR, I can’t get my head around the committee that is deducting points for fair play offences.

“There must be at least half a dozen Premier League clubs that have similar things hanging over their heads.

“So how come it has taken so long to deal with Everton, and after dealing with Everton, and giving them a 10-point deduction, they then give them back four points, and are then maybe going to take away four points? All I can say is what is the point?”

What punishment can Everton expect for their second charge?

The Toffees have already been docked points this season, with their initial 10-point punishment reduced to six points upon appeal.

But they likely have another punishment coming their way due to their second charge, which could place the Toffees in very real danger of relegation at this stage of the season.

Everton supporters will be desperate for a takeover to go through at Goodison Park

But remarkably, even a bottom three finish could still result in safety this time around given potential appeals from Everton and indeed Nottingham Forest after their recent points deduction.
