Everton: Pundit makes Jordan Pickford England prediction at Euro 2024 live on talkSPORT
Everton star Jordan Pickford is one of eight players that England manager Gareth Southgate already has in his Euro 2024 starting lineup.
That is according to talkSPORT pundit Perry Groves, with Kyle Walker, John Stones, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Harry Kane also on the list.
The Three Lions have been drawn in Group C alongside Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia for this summer’s tournament.
“There are eight players that I think Southgate has got in his head and he thinks ‘right, they are my starters’,” Groves said on talkSPORT (24 March). “I think it’s Pickford, Walker, Stones, Saka, Rice, Bellingham, Foden and Kane.”
Is Everton star Jordan Pickford a guaranteed England starter?
Despite Everton’s struggles at the bottom end of the Premier League table once again this season, there have been a few standout players.
The likes of defensive ace Jarrad Branthwaite and midfield maestro Amadou Onana have stepped up for Sean Dyche, as has Pickford.
The goalkeeper has made countless world-class saves, often keeping the Merseyside outfit in matches. And that has been the case at international level also, with Southgate able to rely on Pickford in goal.
Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale joined the number one in the latest Three Lions squad, but they are undoubtedly behind Pickford in the pecking order, with that situation very unlikely to change anytime soon.

Given the huge talent in the England side, the nation are in with a real chance of leaving Germany with silverware this summer, and if that does happen, Pickford will have undoubtedly played a key role.
In other Everton news, Pickford has gushed over a ‘Rolls-Royce’ Goodison Park teammate after a recent development.
