Everton: Henry Winter drops sarcastic response as Wander and Moshiri reply to Fan Advisory Board
Henry Winter delivered a sarcastic response after Josh Wander and Farhad Moshiri reacted to letters from the Everton Fan Advisory Board detailing fears the club’s sale is collapsing.
The fan-run board sent letters to Moshiri, the club’s majority shareholder, 777 Partners, the potential buyers, and the Premier League, with many worried about the future at Goodison Park. [The Times]
Wander and Moshiri responded instantly, stating that “takeover confidentiality” means they are limited to the information that can be shared with the Toffees fans.
Taking to X on Wednesday (27 March), Winter wrote: “Wander and Moshiri have responded to the Fan Advisory Board, but for reasons of takeover confidentiality, told fans there is a limit on what they can discuss at the moment. Not sure that will completely pacify concerned/angry fans.”
Are Everton at risk of losing out on 777 Partners’ investment?
Understandably, Evertonians are becoming more and more worried about the current situation at Goodison Park.
With six months passing since 777 Partners originally started the process of purchasing the club, and investing millions of pounds since, fans are desperate to know what is happening.
The uncertainty has drawn a dark shadow over Goodison Park, making an already difficult season all the harder, with Sean Dyche’s squad attempting to avoid relegation.
For the third successive season, Everton are at risk of dropping down into the Championship, having escaped once under Frank Lampard and again last season under Dyche.

Just three points above Luton Town, and four points above Nottingham Forest in the relegation, the Toffees are far from safe. In addition to this, FFP has had its say on the club’s season, having taken away six points due to a Profit and Sustainability breach.
Finally being able to solve the takeover saga would lift so much pressure off everyone at Goodison Park, which could be key for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
