Everton team news update shared from Finch Farm ahead of Premier League clash v Bournemouth
Vinny O’Connor has shared an Everton team news update from Finch Farm ahead of the Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
The Toffees return to action after a three-week break with a trip to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon (30 March).
That time off has given Everton a chance to get their squad fully fit – or at least those not on international duty – ahead of the final run-in.
Speaking on Sky Sports News [28 March, 12:13pm], O’Connor said: “It looks like Sean Dyche has pretty much a full-strength squad to choose from.
“We will await updates on the likes of Idrissa Gana Gueye and Arnaut Danjuma. If they’re both ready, then Dele Alli is potentially the only absentee.”
Why is Dele Alli not playing for Everton?
Dele Alli is a high-profile long-term absentee for Everton and seems unlikely to play for the club again at this point.
The Englishman is back training, but he is not yet up to full speed and the whole transfer agreement farce with Tottenham is not helping matters.
Getting Gueye back involved would be a massive positive, while Danjuma may yet play more of a role in this final stretch.
Dyche would no doubt have had his fingers crossed over the international break that some key men did not pick up knocks of any sort.
The Everton boss is due to speak to the media later on Thursday (28 March) and will confirm the team news.

If this initial update is anything to go by, though, there can be no excuses against Bournemouth this weekend.
Everton need victories and the trip to the South Coast can act as a second turning point of sorts in the campaign.
After what feels like an eternity since the the 2-0 loss to Manchester United, now is the time for supporters to get fully behind the side.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are reportedly interested in signing a player from Serie A this summer.
