Everton confirmed team news vs Bournemouth as Idrissa Gueye, Arnaut Danjuma updates shared

Everton boss Sean Dyche has shared a team news update ahead of Saturday’s (30 March) Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

The game at Vitality Stadium will mark the Toffees’ first match in any competition since a 2-0 loss to Manchester United on 9 March.

A three-week break has given Everton a chance to reset ahead of the final 10 games of a relegation battle that will go down to the wire.

And Dyche confirmed at Thursday’s (28 March) press conference, via the Kick Streaming app, that Idrissa Gueye and Arnaut Danjuma remain doubtful.

“Some have been away and we only got them back today, so we’re monitoring them and they obviously did less today in training,” Dyche said of Everton’s international players.

“Idrissa played 70 minutes with a lot of travelling so it was a quieter day today, but he’s fit.

“Arnaut is only just back on grass, but it was literally his first training session today so he’ll need time to make sure he’s right. He’s back on the grass so we just want to get him fit.”

Everton record v Bournemouth in Premier League

Everton are winless in their last six league visits to Bournemouth, losing the last two of those and conceding three goals both times.

The Toffees have won back-to-back meetings with the Cherries, though, with each of those coming at Goodison Park.

This match is away from home, of course, and Everton quite simply need to start getting some points on the board – ideally all three of them.

Bournemouth are well positioned in 13th place and have taken seven points from the last nine on offer to them.

This will be a tough test, then, but one that Dyche’s men should relish. With the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal still to play away from home, it does not get any easier.

The time for talking is now very much over and every player has to stand up and be counted in this final stretch.

In other Everton news, a player who made his senior international debut this week has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.
