Everton could sign Samuel Iling-Junior with Juventus contract agreement close
Samuel Iling-Junior is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Juventus, according to Calciomercato, but that does not rule out a possible transfer to Everton.
The report on 28 March revealed that the Toffees are not the only Premier League side in the hunt, however, with Brighton, Tottenham and West Ham also thought to be interested.
Iling-Junior’s present deal with the Turin giants runs until the end of next season, but a lack of game-time could persuade him to push for a move even if he pens an extension.
Everton could offer Samuel Iling-Junior a Premier League return
Iling-Junior is a product of Chelsea’s academy but made the switch to Juventus in 2020.
He made a smattering of first-team appearances last season, racking up 559 minutes across all competitions and registering a goal and two assists in the process.
However, 2023/24 has been a slower burn than the 20-year-old would have liked, managing the same number of minutes as last season and remaining largely restricted to the role of a substitute.
Two starts in the last three Serie A games indicate he is finally beginning to earn the trust of head coach Massimilano Allegri, but a lack of consistent game-time could convince the Englishman to consider other proposals.

Everton would offer a route back to England, though Iling-Junior would likely look for assurances about his playing time to be convinced about a switch to Merseyside.
