Everton: Sean Dyche told to drop Beto v Burnley after what happened
Bryan King claims Dominic Calvert-Lewin should start against Burnley after the striker scored from the penalty spot in midweek.
The ex-Everton scout has been speaking of the importance of the Toffees’ upcoming clash and believes Sean Dyche has a big decision to make when it comes to his team selection against Burnley.
Dyche will welcome his former side to Goodison Park on Saturday (6 April) in what could prove to be one of the biggest games of the season for both clubs.
King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes Calvert-Lewin will be full of confidence after his goal at St James’ Park, and therefore should be in line to start.
“Calvert-Lewin hasn’t been scoring goals so to get on the scoresheet would have been a boost for him,” said King.
“Hopefully Dyche sticks with the side which finished against Newcastle, with Calvert-Lewin coming in for Beto. This is a real six-pointer, and whoever wins this will take a lot of confidence going forward.
“It is going to be tight down the bottom, which makes this a very important match.”
Everton must claim all three points against Burnley at Goodison Park on Saturday
Beto joined Everton from Udinese in a £26million switch last summer (via The Guardian, 26 August).
He hasn’t had the impact he would have liked, scoring just three goals in 23 appearances, with him and Calvert-Lewin rotating in recent weeks.
It was Beto who started in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Tuesday (2 April), with Calvert-Lewin coming off the bench to score a late equaliser, ending a run of 18 Premier League matches without a goal.

Dyche might be wise to therefore make a change against Burnley in what is a must-win match for both sides.
