Everton takeover: Farhad Moshiri faces penalties after new 777 takeover update
Farhad Moshiri is facing potential penalties should he decide to walk away from the deal for 777 Partners to take over at Everton, according to Josimar.
The football news outlet reported on 8 April that two separate groups remain interested in taking over at Goodison Park and have prepared bids to rival 777’s ongoing talks.
With the deal having been initially agreed in September, the constant confusion and concerns emerging surrounding the takeover have led to suggestions they may not receive approval.
Farhad Moshiri facing penalties amid Everton takeover twist
Concerns have continued to grow surrounding 777 Partners’ takeover bid ever since it was first agreed in September, with each day seeming to bring a fresh concern to light while the Premier League have still not made a decision.
The concerns range from supporter protests at other 777-owned clubs, legal issues in the US, concerns about the source of their financial backing and plenty of controversy surrounding the group’s other assets in sport.
It is no wonder other interested parties have started to make themselves known again, publically registering their interest and putting Moshiri in a difficult position as a decision may need to be made former rather than later.

The latest update coming from 777’s takeover bid is that further talks have been held with the Premier League, but they are still not fully satisfied, adding further fuel to the fire of possible alternative options to take over.
