Everton: ‘Farcical’ Premier League claim is made as Manchester City PSR prediction emerges

Bryan King has described the decision to deduct further points from Everton as “farcical”, questioning when Manchester City would face a similar punishment.

The ex-Everton scout has questioned when talks of the points deductions are going to finally end.

This comes after it was announced on Monday (8 April) that the Toffees had been deducted another two points for breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.

King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – doesn’t like the way the situation has been handled.

“The whole situation is farcical,” King said.

“Two points have now been taken off when previously they had taken off 10 and given them back four, the whole situation is a mess.

“When is this going to end? You have got Manchester City supposedly sitting with 115 charges, when are they going to be brought forward?

“Are they going to wait until they win the league and then deduct their points, so then Arsenal or Liverpool are handed the league? I just can’t see where this is going to end.”

Everton and Sean Dyche in an endless cycle at Goodison Park after latest Premier League decision

If Dyche ends up keeping the Toffees in the Premier League this season, he deserves an incredible amount of praise.

Very few managers in world football would have been able to keep Everton competitive given what has happened at Goodison Park this season.

Despite having eight points in total taken from them, something which is neither Dyche nor his players’ fault, the Toffees still remain outside the bottom three of the Premier League.

Supporters will be desperate to avoid relegation and will hope that solutions are found soon and that they can then look forward to a bright future in their brand-new stadium.
