Everton set to sign Arsenal attacker Omari Benjamin with contract offer ready
Everton are favourites to sign young Arsenal talent Omari Benjamin, according to TEAMtalk.
The website reported online (13 April) that Benjamin is expected to be released by the Gunners at the end of the season, with several clubs having registered an interest in the forward.
Sean Dyche’s side are one of those clubs, with Everton chiefs having “already seen enough” to be convinced that Benjamin is worthy of a long-term contract offer.
That contract offer has already been prepared, with negotiations set to take place over the coming months before a deal is “likely” agreed.
Everton could complete smart business by signing Omari Benjamin
The Toffees’ financial problems are well-documented, and that means the club will be operating on a shoestring budget in the transfer market for the foreseeable future.
They will need to avoid big-money signings and target players such as Benjamin, who are not yet established.
However, this doesn’t mean that Everton supporters don’t have reason to be excited about this potential bit of business.
Benjamin is a versatile forward who can operate as a striker or left winger, with the Welsh youth international having already scored at Under-21 level for the Toffees while on trial with the club earlier this season.

There is no reason why the 18-year-old can’t become a top-level Premier League player, and if Everton were to secure his signature, this could be looked back on as a smart bit of recruitment at some point down the line.
Benjamin could become a big player, and Arsenal’s loss might be Everton’s gain.
