Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin surgery claim emerges ahead of Liverpool clash
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be dealing with multiple hamstring problems ahead of the Liverpool clash, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has reacted to his recent fitness issues and also the fact that he may not be ready for the Merseyside derby but will not need surgery.
It’s understood that he will need to pass a late fitness test to be cleared for the Liverpool clash on Wednesday, 24 April.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Calvert-Lewin:
“Calvert-Lewins seems to be dealing with a hamstring problem or problems that the team is handling on a day by day basis.
“This sounds like a potential Grade 1 injury and his missing time is more a function of trying to play rather than requiring surgery so I do not see it being on the cards.
“With regards to Liverpool, he still remains a doubt and there will be checks on the day of the game to see if he’s ready to play.“
Everton will hope Calvert-Lewin returns from injury v Liverpool
Calvert-Lewin’s fitness is crucial for Everton due to his significant impact on the team’s performance.
As a striker, he’s crucial in leading the line and his goal-scoring ability is vital for the team’s offensive strategy.
Recent matches have shown that when Calvert-Lewin is in form, scoring twice in a row after a long drought, it can significantly boost the Toffees’ chances of getting something from the game.

His presence up front not only adds a goal threat but also contributes to the overall morale and confidence of the team.
