Everton Fan Advisory Board slam Farhad Moshri as meeting date finally set
The Everton Fan Advisory Board have reacted after being told that they will meet with Farhad Moshiri 12 weeks after initially writing to discuss the club’s future.
There is continuous uncertainty over the club’s future at Goodison Park, with no progress made on the takeover and worries about the building of Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.
Despite writing to Moshiri nine weeks ago, the Advisory Board will be forced to wait another three weeks to meet with the current owner, which has sparked anger among fans.
Taking to X after receiving a response on Friday (26 April), they wrote: “Nine weeks ago, we wrote asking to meet Mr Moshiri to discuss the Club’s future. We’re now told he’ll meet in the third week of May – 12 weeks after we first asked.
“We are deeply disappointed by the delay and lack of urgency to address fan concerns and will continue to seek answers.”
Everton fans continue to grow impatient with Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners
The Toffees are growing more worried and more impatient as the days pass, and rightly so, with so much uncertainty shadowing Goodison Park this season.
Financial instability, future points deductions, financial penalties and the possibility of administration are all outcomes that have been mooted over the past few weeks and Moshiri’s lack of eagerness to respond has not gone down well at all.
While Sean Dyche’s team on the pitch look to have all but confirmed safety from Premier League relegation after their victory against Liverpool on Wednesday 24 April, this update seems like another blow.
777 Partners’ current situations at other clubs have also thrown doubt over their takeover of the club, with other parties now being offered a deal by Moshiri.
Fans have every right to know what is going on with their beloved club, but the lack of response and care from Moshiri shows exactly what he sees at Goodison Park – a business.
