Everton v Brentford Premier League clash predicted by supercomputer
A supercomputer has predicted the most likely outcome of Saturday’s (27 April) Premier League clash between Everton and Brentford.
The Toffees are seeking a third successive victory when Brentford – themselves in good form – make the trip to Goodison Park.
According to Opta Analyst, however, the Bees are favourites with a 38.2-per-cent likelihood of winning, compared to 32.4 per cent for Everton.
A draw is given a 29.4-per-cent chance of happening, meanwhile, making it the game most likely to finish all square in the league this weekend.
Before Saturday’s (27 April) games, Opta gives Everton a zero-per-cent chance of going down, with Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town still the three favourites for the drop.
Everton on brink of Premier League safety
Last weekend’s victory over Nottingham Forest was truly massive, swiftly followed up by a nice bonus victory over Liverpool in midweek.
Even with the multiple points deductions, the Toffees are now surely over the line. Indeed, their top-flight status could be secured this weekend.
If Luton fail to beat Wolves a couple of hours before Everton host Brentford, the Toffees will be officially safe.
Sean Dyche will be eager for his side to keep their momentum going regardless, and this is certainly another winnable fixture.
That said, Brentford have won their past couple of games and have absolutely no pressure on them with a month of the season to go.

A draw would certainly not be the worst result for Dyche’s men, but he will set out his side with the aim of taking all three.
And if Wolves do Everton a favour, it could well be a party atmosphere inside Goodison Park before a ball is kicked.
