Everton defender Seamus Coleman injury update shared by Doctor ahead of Luton Town
Everton defender Seamus Coleman is expected to face a major issue recovering from his groin injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that age will be a confounding factor in his recovery as well as the multiple setbacks he’s had over the last 18 months.
He did not feature on 27 April against Brentford and may be ruled out of the Luton Town clash on 3 May as well.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Coleman:
“According to Dyche, Coleman has ‘pulled his groin’ which most likely means an adductor strain.
“Age will be a confounding factor in his recovery but even more so the fact he has picked up multiple injuries which lead to increased risk along with fluctuating fitness which increases risk even more.
“It will be a major challenge for him to return to full fitness and he may not be ready until the second week of May.
“The key for him will be this off-season and getting out of his vicious cycle of injuries.“
Everton defender Seamus Coleman faces an uncertain future
Coleman is 35 and obviously cannot be playing 90 minutes week in and week out for the Toffees.
He’s played just nine league games for Sean Dyche’s side this term amounting to a total of 461 minutes.

The Republic of Ireland international has not registered a single goal or assist and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
