Everton shareholder speaks out in takeover update as Farhad Moshiri urged to respond
A significant stakeholder in Everton has explained that people behind the scenes at the club are working hard to find a solution to the ongoing takeover issues, according to The Esk.
It was explained that all of the effort from Sean Dyche and the players to keep the team in the league would be worthless unless “immediate action” is taken over the takeover.
Meanwhile, Farhad Moshiri has been urged to allow other individuals to step in and “rescue” the club by listening and responding to the countless concerns which have been raised.
Writing via his blog [28 April], The Esk explained: “Without immediate action regarding the future of the club will ultimately, apart from the experience, be rendered worthless.
“There are, as one significant stakeholder put it to me this week, people ‘working night and day for a solution’. There are people, not in the public domain, working as hard as Dyche and his team to ensure our survival.
“Moshiri must give those people the opportunity to resolve our existential issues. He can partially redeem himself by allowing capable, resourced individuals the authority to rescue us from his decisions. One redeeming act in a period of what is frankly madness.
“The fanbase, the media and the footballing authorities need to know this and play our/their part in rescuing our great club. Moshiri needs to listen and respond.”
Farhad Moshiri urged to respond in Everton takeover update
Concrete updates on the progress of 777 Partners’ takeover bid have been few and far between since they were able to secure a deadline on the repayment of an outstanding loan to MSP Capital as per the Premier League’s requirements to complete the deal.
It was, at the time, said that the repayment deadline had been pushed back to the end of April or the beginning of May. Now, entering the final week of April with no news, concerns have begun to rise yet again.
This is not the first time The Esk has urged Moshiri to intervene in the process amid the countless concerns raised about the 777 takeover bid, but as of yet there has been no movement on that front. The involvement of other shareholders could force his hand.

With 777 scrambling to overcome the final Premier League hurdles to finalise their takeover, it remains to be seen whether they will be capable of providing the funds needed, or whether the club will be forced to consider other options.
