777 Partners Everton takeover update shared by Alan Myers as alternative buyers mooted at Goodison

777 Partners seem to be the only prospective buyer “willing to fund and support” Everton football club currently, according to Alan Myers.

Further doubts have been raised over the American firm’s ability to fund a takeover at Goodison Park in recent days following a delay in covering the club’s monthly payroll on the blue half of Merseyside.

777 have covered the club’s day-to-day running costs, but their takeover is still yet to be completed as they continue to wait for Premier League approval after the extension of a loan repayment to MSP Sports Capital was granted.

While it has been insisted other parties remain interested in securing Farhad Moshiri’s controlling stake in the Toffees, Sky Sports journalist Myers believes only 777 Partners are happy to keep Everton financially afloat.

Writing on X on Tuesday (30 April) he said: “It seems they are the only ones willing to fund and support the club.”

What is happening with 777 Partners’ Everton takeover at Goodison Park?

While Myers may suggest only 777 are willing to try and keep Everton’s head above the water as this takeover rumbles on, it is becoming clear that Moshiri simply has to start talking to other parties for the good of the football club.

Although beggars can’t be choosers, it is clear that 777 does not have the capability to continue funding the Toffees in the long run, even if they are willing to do so as Myers has suggested.

The American firm have already pumped £200million into Goodison Park in loans and should this takeover collapse all that money will have to be paid back, putting the Blues in an even worse financial position.

Hopefully, another company and prospective buyer will come forward and show Moshiri that they are willing to fund and support Everton both in the long and short term so that this fiasco with 777 Partners can finally be put to bed.
