Fresh transfer twist emerges as Everton want to sign Karamoko Dembele

Everton are among the clubs who want to sign Brest attacker Karamoko Dembele but could loan him out immediately, according to The News.

Writing on their website (1 May), the news outlet reports that the Blackpool loanee has attracted the interest of several clubs who could sign him permanently after an “outstanding” season.

But with top-flight clubs interested, he could potentially make a move there before being loaned out again to a lower-league team interested in his signature.

Everton transfer would be shrewd for everyone involved

It’s not often that the Toffees do smart business, but with a new era set to begin this summer, this is the type of transfer that would make a lot of sense for everyone involved.

Dembele is clearly an exciting talent with lots of skill and qualities, but the 21-year-old is not the finished product yet and whether he’d fit directly into a Sean Dyche team remains to be seen.

But financially this is a deal that could be clever, as he is unlikely to cost too much to sign permanently considering the competition but could reap big profits in the future.

An immediate loan out would see the player continue to develop, which would surely be a priority for him, but also allow Everton to keep control over his future and formulate a pathway for him to join up with the first team in the future.

If not, they could look to sell him on for a profit which is always a good thing. It would be clever business and would secure the future of a very bright talent at the same time.

In other Everton news, the club want to sign a young attacker who has been compared to a Champions League winner after his price tag emerged.
