Sources close to Farhad Moshiri speak out as 777 Partners takeover update emerges at Everton
Sources close to Everton owner Farhad Moshiri insist that they remain focused on completing a takeover deal with 777 Partners, according to BBC Sport.
The outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (30 April) that the Toffees received a delayed payment of £16million from their prospective new owners for day-to-day costs to take the Miami-based firm’s investment past £200million.
While doubts have emerged over the American companies’ ability to finance a takeover, it is felt by those in charge at Goodison Park that the latest investment shows a “proper commitment” to taking over on Merseyside.
Will 777 Partners complete their takeover of Everton at Goodison Park?
It shouldn’t come as a shock to supporters to hear that Moshiri is still only interested in selling the Toffees to 777 Partners as that has been the current Everton boss’ stance throughout proceedings no matter what has happened.
There have been signs throughout this entire process which have suggested 777 does not have the financial power to support Sean Dyche’s side and those sort of red flags continue to pop up week after week.
But no matter what emerges, Moshiri’s stance remains the case and that doesn’t seem particularly likely to change anytime soon. The hope from most supporters is that some sense will emerge on Merseyside sooner rather than later.

There have been suggestions that other potential buyers remain interested in potentially securing a controlling stake in the club, but for whatever reason, Moshiri remains completely committed to a company that seems to be riddled with issues.
Hopefully, common sense will prevail sooner rather than later, if not, it is hard to see a way out of this hole for the Toffees. For the sake of the supporters, Moshiri simply has to start looking elsewhere. Otherwise, the club’s financial and footballing future hangs in the balance.
