Everton influx of cash not enough as 777 Partners continue to fall at takeover hurdles
Bryan King claims Everton are facing “more trouble” at Goodison Park after a multi-million 777 Partners update emerged on Tuesday.
The ex-Everton scout doesn’t believe that 777 Partners are the right people to take the Toffees forward.
It comes after a report in The Guardian on Tuesday (30 April) revealed that the club were still waiting for a further £15million from the American investment firm, who were understood to have parted ways with their UK PR advisers after falling behind on paying their fees.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has no confidence in 777 amid these recent developments.
“These are just yet more red flags,” King said.
“They’re an investment group who seem to be lacking investment at the moment and they appear to be falling over every possible hurdle, which doesn’t make Everton’s position any easier.
“This just spells more trouble for the club. They’ve secured Premier League safety, and that will bring with it an influx of cash, but I am not sure that will be enough.
“This whole thing has been dragging on far too long, if 777 can’t come up with £15million then it doesn’t give me confidence that they will be in a position to subsidise everything going on at Everton.”
Doubts over 777 Partners continue to increase at Everton
Farhad Moshiri is running out of time at Goodison Park.
Despite continuing to insist on completing a deal with 777, it appears that is no closer at this moment in time.
It would be hard to blame Everton supporters for lacking trust in 777 considering everything that has happened recently.

And with debts continuing to rise on Merseyside, a solution needs to be found one way or another.
