Everton could move closer to increased multi-million windfall with victory v Luton Town
Bryan King claims it is important for Everton to finish as high in the Premier League as possible to maximise the amount of prize money they earn.
The ex-Everton scout believes that Sean Dyche and his players will be fully focused on their coming games despite the Toffees having already secured Premier League safety.
Everton travel to Kenilworth Road on Friday (3 May) to take on a Luton Town side fighting for their lives.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that the visitors will be just as motivated to get a result due to their own financial aspirations.
“I think Dyche will want to finish as high in the Premier League as possible,” King said.
“The higher you finish in the division, the more prize money the club will earn at the end of the season.
“That will be what is on Dyche’s mind right now, rather than giving younger players a chance to play.
“Everton will need to put out a solid team if they want to get a result because Luton are fighting for their lives so the game won’t be easy.”
Sean Dyche could yet guide Everton further up the Premier League table
While teams who secure safety are often able to take their foot off the gas slightly, that is not the case at Goodison Park.
Considering the financial difficulties the Toffees find themselves in, every penny matters between now and the end of the season.

With games against Luton Town and Sheffield United to come, there is every chance that the Toffees could yet finish higher up the Premier League table, and Dyche will need to ensure his players continue to work just as hard as they have in recent weeks.
