Simon Jordan tears into Farhad Moshiri live on talkSPORT after 777 Partners update at Everton
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has been torn into by Simon Jordan live on talkSPORT following new developments at Goodison Park.
The Miami-based investment firm has been hit with more legal problems having been accused of operating a fraudulent scheme by Leadenhall Capital Partners and Leadenhall Life Insurance Linked Investments Fund.
Despite this latest update, reports suggest that Moshiri remains completely committed to seeing 777’s takeover over the line and talkSPORT host Jordan has hit out at the chairman for trying to strike a deal.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Tuesday (7 May, 12:28) he said: “I don’t think you can buy a football club and load it with debt when it hasn’t got a positive cash flow in the first place. I don’t see their business model, I don’t see what they were going to achieve.
“The criminal in all of this if you want to use the terminology is Moshiri, not the Premier League or anyone else. Moshiri alighted on these potential people to buy the football club because he wants out of the potential problems he’s created.
“It may all emanate from the fact that Moshiri wants x amounts of hundreds of millions of pounds to buy Everton football club from him and there are no potential buyers. That means he may need to take a view of what he’s willing to sell it for as he clearly doesn’t want to fund it anymore.”
Will 777 Partners complete their takeover of Everton at Goodison Park?
It has been obvious since 777 Partners arrived on the scene at Goodison Park that they are not financially equipped to run the Toffees. No takeover should take this long just to get approval from the Premier League.
But for whatever reason, Moshiri has set his heart on getting this deal done with the Miami-based firm and it will be to the detriment of Everton as the prospect of administration in the future now seems to be growing.

Hopefully, the Blues boss will finally wake up and begin discussing a potential sale with alternative buyers. It may see him lose a bit of money on his investment, but it could well save the Toffees financially and in a footballing sense.
Whether or not Jordan’s latest rant will be enough to stir Moshiri into action remains to be seen, but it has been clear for some time now the Toffees boss isn’t at all interested in helping Everton out.
