Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury update emerges v Sheffield United
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is not likely to be at 100 per cent ahead of the Sheffield United clash, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite playing 80 minutes against Luton Town and scoring, he faces the risk of a new setback.
The Toffees play host to the Blades at Goodison Park on Saturday, 11 May, in the Premier League.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Calvert-Lewin:
“It’s doubtful that he is at 100 per cent because he didn’t play the full match v Luton and he still did miss a game which dents fitness.
“You need a run of consistent games to get back to 100% fitness, elite fitness is that sensitive.
“This also increases risk of re-injury so he and the club will have to be careful with how his minutes are handled.“
Everton have no reason to push Calvert-Lewin with relegation avoided
The Toffees have no reason to push Calvert-Lewin as they’ve achieved their goals for the season.
Finishing as high as possible comes with certain financial benefits but not at the cost of it risking the long-term fitness of the England international.

The 27-year-old has been in decent form, finding the back of the net four times in his last five league games.
